Islam is a pharmacist with 27 years of professional experience. He established Lotus Pharmacies in 2015 and served as its Chairman & MD. Islam also serves as the CEO of CARE Pharmacies being a sister company of United Company for Pharmacist (UCP) – HO Group. For 20 years prior to that, Islam was the Business Development Director in El Ezaby Pharmacies. Islam also worked with El Nahdy Pharmacies in KSA. Islam holds Bachelor degree in Pharmacy – Egypt
Co-Founder & CEO
Hashem Saad is an experienced accountant with 18 years of professional experience in finance, auditing, and business management. He joined Lotus Pharmacies as CEO in 2019, bringing a wealth of expertise in financial strategy and corporate leadership.
Before joining Lotus, Hashem spent 12 years at RSM Public Accountants (Kuwait), where he served as an External Auditor in the assurance business, overseeing financial compliance and risk management. Prior to that, he worked as a Certified IT Consultant with CIC, an SAP partner in Egypt, leveraging technology solutions to enhance business operations.
Hashem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from Egypt.
Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer
Ahmed Saad is a finance professional with 25 years of experience in public sector advisory, banking, investments, and financial planning. As Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Lotus Pharmacies, he oversees financial strategy, corporate development, and long-term growth initiatives.
Previously, he was a Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors at the African Development Bank and held leadership roles at National Investment Bank Group (NIB) as Managing Director of NI Consulting and COO of NI Capital (Egypt), leading financial advisory and investment initiatives.
Before that, Ahmed spent 15 years in senior roles at major banks and corporations in Egypt and Kuwait, specializing in financial management and investment strategy.
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the California Board of Accountancy and holds an MBA from London Business School.
